„What did you do the day when I was on the train, watching the sunrise?“ – A journey of a group of friends to St. Petersburg and the surrounding areas – and at the same time a meditation on beauty and the impossibility to really get in contact with it, when you know so fiew about a country and it’s people, and when you never stay. The film can also be understood as a balancing accounts with the romanticism, that influenced meso much by music, literature and movies. And yet it is also a declaration of love to it: The romanticism elevates the other one, enriches him, exaggerates and makes him so wonderful – and yet inaccessible, unreachable, untouchable. Oh you sweet pain! – A strategy in order not to really get in touch with the other one?
